Day 27: Would you ever have a Digimon for a pet?
I’m gonna go with everyone else and say no, I’d rather have a Digimon for a partner/friend.
(◡‿◡✿)
Day 26: What crest would you have?
I’d say it’s a tie between Sincerity, Reliability, and Kindness. As someone who has a hard time defining what my “best” qualities are, these crests really resonate with me the most; It’s because I don’t know what my best qualities are that I’m attached to these three, because those are the qualities I fall back on.
When I don’t know what to do in a situation, I just… do my best to be a good person. And hope that being my best is good enough.
Day 25: Favorite episodes
Let’s see…
Season 1:
Season 2:
It was harder for me to figure out my season 2 favorites… hence the lame comments for them. Also, um, look up the titles if you’re not sure what episodes I’m talking about? Hehe…
Day 24: Favorite minor character
The kids’ parents/relatives are just awesome. Particular standouts include: Koushiro’s parents (we all know Mrs. Izumi is perfect), Jou’s brothers, Mimi’s parents, Yamato’s dad (I’m a fan of the Fuji TV crew as a whole, haha), Ken’s parents, and Sora’s dad (he seems like one of those really fun professors where there’s never a dull moment in his classes).
I’m also going to include Picodevimon because I just really love that mini-arc with him in the first season.
Day 23: Least favorite villain
Devimon. Because he’s just so… yawn. I mean you can say all of the first season’s villains aren’t super compelling, but at least the rest made up for it by being amusing and/or threatening. But Devimon is a starter villain in every sense; he was threatening at the time I guess, but I don’t care.
HMs: MetalSeadramon and BelialVamdemon
Day 22: Favourite villain
Vamdemon/Myotismon. Because yes. Only this form preferably. The other forms are… not as cool.
HMs: Puppetmon, because he just loved to screw around with the team instead of outright killing them off.
The Digimon Kaizer, because even though he thought of himself as this evil genius, he was really just a misguided and somewhat bratty/immature 11 year old. Aww. XD
Day 21: A moment that made you angry
Instead of saying the epilogue, I’m going to say the moment in which I, as a child, realized that there wouldn’t be anymore episodes that featured the Digidestined/Chosen Children.
…That’s basically another way of saying the epilogue oops.
Season 1:
Season 2:
Day 20: A moment that made you sad
Season 1:
Season 2:
Day 19: A moment that made you happy
It’s not that I wanted Ken to be punched in the face. It’s just that this is seriously one of THE best scenes out of both seasons and I just LOVE it. I mean, look:
“Ichijouji-san, how long are you going to live under the impression that you are always right?
Is it fun?”
asferthygf TAKERU I WASN’T AWARE THAT YOU ARE SUDDENLY A BAMF NOW.
Others because I don’t believe in choosing one moment:
Season 1:
Season 2:
Day 18: Worst dressed character
I know I said I was going to limit this to the Adventure seasons.
But
why
w h y
would anyone want to give Junpei a freaking ONE-PIECE… THING?! Like, why would you do that to a character?! It just makes me sad because I don’t understand WHY.
Sigh. Okay.
My actual Adventure-seasons answer is also going to be pretty cliche, but Miyako. Specifically her Digital World get up, because I honestly like a lot of her other outfits and think they’re pretty darn cool. In fact, she could’ve been a runner-up for best dressed. Oh, Miyako. Only you could be best and worst dressed, only you…

Day 17: Best dressed character
(text post because photosets don’t look good with this cropping)
Season One: I don’t know, I just like Yamato’s outfit. It’s simple, but it’s good. And I especially like that shirt.
Season Two: A bit of a cliche answer, but Mimi just looks really cute 90% of the time this season!
Day 16: A character you would not get along with
Let me start off by saying that I LIKE Iori. It makes me sad when people don’t. It makes me sad when people don’t like any of these twelve characters, but anyway back to the challenge.
Iori’s cool, but let’s be honest; he’s like… really serious. And he’s nine. And if I knew this kid in real life, I probably wouldn’t know how to handle this little walking contradiction. On one hand, he’s smart and I wouldn’t want to treat him like a little kid. On the other hand he IS a little kid. A very serious little kid with piercing eyes that may or may not make me feel uncomfortable if he were ever to glare at me or something.
And because he’s so serious and standoff-ish, I wouldn’t know what he’d think of me either. And I like knowing where I stand with people.
No but really, he probably wouldn’t be bad once we got to know each other. But out of the twelve main chosen, I think he’d be the most difficult to “get.”
Honorable mention is season one!Yamato for pretty much the same reasons. 02!Yamato on the other hand would be a quality friend. Just like after-the-02-season-less-uptight!Iori would be.
Day 15: A character you’d be best friends with
Everyone? :D
I’d say Daisuke’s probably the most eligible? I mean he’s canonically a damn good friend anyway, and having an outgoing, funny, and genuinely caring guy like him as a best friend would be great. My new roommate is actually kind of similar to him; she’s very outgoing and accepting of everyone, and well, we pretty much hit it off immediately! I’m also kind of similar to Ken (reserved, sweet-natured, etc.) so maybe those two personality types make good friends, who knows?
I’m tempted to just put everyone as an honorable mention, but honorable mentions: Takeru, and Sora seem pretty chill and nice enough to hang out with. Mimi would probably be a lot of fun to talk to. I think I’m kind of similar to Koushiro, Jou, and Ken (as I said before), so there wouldn’t be any problems there.
Day 14: Least favorite season
Out of the two seasons that I’ve seen, I must say Zero Two.
I like it, I do, but rewatching it last year along with listening to other reviews made me agree with a few of its weaknesses. There were a lot of good ideas, but they were kind of clumsily thrown in instead of deliberately thought out.
And I wish the characters got as much introspection/attention as the first season’s did, and that includes Takeru and Hikari. They practically get twice as much screentime as all the other Adventure characters, but we don’t really get to know them. I still think they’re both great, but to me the season ends with them just being kind of… flat.
There’s nothing wrong with flat characters, though. I love that Daisuke is just that kid who doesn’t have a lot of issues and doesn’t see the need for angst, and I love that he is always that kind of kid. But then why did the writers end up shortchanging Miyako? We don’t really get to see her act out her personality like a lot of other characters got to do, so her character doesn’t seem as solid and her desire in ep. 49 seems tacked on. And this sucks because Miyako could’ve been such a better character than she was if we just gotten to know her more.
Wow, uh… I didn’t really mean to rant! Oops. TL;DR - Ken, Iori, and Daisuke were the only adequately developed characters this season (with Takeru, Hikari, and Miyako unfortunately just being kind of there and occasionally doing some cool/good things). And the second half’s plot could have been less… random. IMO.
